About the workshop
The Danish Operations Research Society is pleased to announce AOO2015, our seventh annual workshop on applications of optimization. The workshop will take place on May 5th, 2015, and it targets decision makers who are considering to adopt quantitative optimization methods in their business processes as well as managers and practitioners who seek input on ongoing projects.
The main purpose of the workshop is to highlight some of the challenges that companies and organizations face when seeking to adopt quantitative optimization methods in their business processes. The workshop will focus on presenting the subject of business optimization in a non-technical manner.
We are very excited about this year's program where we have invited some of the leading OR experts. We are confident that the program will be highly relevant to both industry practitioners as well as research professionals. Each talk will be followed by a brief discussion session on current challenges related to the topic of the talk.
The workshop especially addresses decision makers and analytic personnel in companies starting or already working on optimization projects. Many of the aspects concerning, e.g., problem modeling or end user involvement, even though they differ in main subject, face the same challenges from company to company.
It is our hope that this workshop will bring together people from different companies and organizations to be inspired by talks on how others put optimization projects to life and to discuss how to improve business optimization in general.
